Felix Brinkmann was a 90-year-old survivor of the Holocaust. He and his wife were separated during their times in concentration camps. They were later reunited, Mrs. Brinkmann died last year.

Brinkmann was the co-founder of a popular nightclub in Manhattan, the “Adam’s Apple.” Later, he owned a real estate company in the Bronx.

On Thursday, July 30, 2009, Brinkmann was found dead in his Upper East Side apartment. He had been strangled and had a head injury. Police were looking for a young woman and a man in connection with his death.

Here’s where it get strange, in April 2009, Brinkmann was arrested for “menacing” someone with a gun. The charges were dropped when the accuser wouldn’t cooperate. It turns out one of his longtime friends is celebrity investigator Bo Deitl…? Stay tuned, I’m sure there is more to this story coming.
