LaRhonda McCall of Oklahoma City was arrested for child abuse and child neglect after her 14-year-old son claimed he had been locked in a closet for over 4 years. On September 25, 2009, the boy escaped and made his way to a National Guard facility. A security guard said the boy was malnourished and had scars.
The 14-year-old told police that he often wend days without being fed, was beaten and was even once stabbed with a knife and burned.
