The Trijicon sights, used by the U.S. Army, are inscribed with “biblical codes” according to the company’s director of sales and marketing. The inscriptions are placed at the end of the sight’s serial numbers. These codes, like “JN8:12″ refer to passages in the bible. “JN8:12″ is a reference to John 8:12, which says, “Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
